Bare Liner Integrity Surveys Explained
Conductive layer makes it possible to detect leaks on wrinkles and other non -conductive surfaces, and it allows the liner to be retested as often as necessary
http://hgileakdetection.com/technology/bare-liner-integrity-surveys/

Understanding Arc Testing of Geomembranes
The ‘Arc Testing Method’ can only be used on new construction bare geomembranes, requires a semi-conductive layer below geomembrane, and liner surface must be clean and dry.  Its main advantage is that it is highly accurate in detecting ‘Pin-hole’ size leaks.   This method has an average survey speed of 900 m2 per hour per operator – almost doubled that of Spark Testing.
